AAHC is a community-based nonprofit organization formed by a group of Asian American leaders in the medical fields. Its mission and vision is to serve low-income and uninsured Asian residents by providing an array of health care and social services.
The service including, but not limited to, the provision of:
(a) Linguistically proficient and culturally sensitive primary care health care services which include chronic disease management, sick visits, physical check-ups, women’s health care, diabetic screening, children’s health care, and health education and counseling;
(b) Health education programs/services regarding diabetes, breast cancer, women’s health, influenza, Hepatitis B, weight control, osteoporosis, medical nutrition, smoking cessation, mental health, health insurance counseling, and other health issues affecting the Asian Community; and
(c) Senior wellness programs for seniors that include information on Medicare and Medicaid, and health education workshops to live a healthy lifestyle and prevent disease.
