Howard County Health Department Weekly Update on COVID-19
如何获得新冠病毒 (COVID-19)疫苗的接种
哈维郡卫生局目前没有网上“一站式” 新冠疫苗注册
1. 马里兰州大规模新冠疫苗接种诊所
查找马里兰州新冠疫苗接种诊所,请访问 covidvax.maryland.gov。 如果您属于当前的优先接种组,请联系此网站上所列的接种诊所,以便安排接种预约。 您也可以拔打电话 1-855-MDGOVAX(1-855-634-6829)寻求帮助.

Please read the newest Community Letter from Health Officer Dr. Maura Rossman HERE. COVID-19 Vaccine: Second Dose Clinic Auto-Notification from State PrepMod System Recently, some individuals received an automated notification from Maryland’s statewide COVID vaccine registration site, known as PrepMod. This notification was sent to Howard County residents with vaccine appointments, but it was not authorized or sent by the Howard County Health Department. The notification suggested that you make a second-dose vaccine appointment at a location in Baltimore City. However, this notification was sent in error. A glitch in the state system triggered the message, which was inaccurate for Howard County residents planning to book their second-dose appointments. IF YOU RECEIVED YOUR FIRST DOSE FROM US (either at HCHD or at Howard Community College), YOU WILL ALSO RECEIVE YOUR SECOND DOSE IN HOWARD COUNTY. You may disregard the message from PrepMod. Our team is working to schedule second doses, and will contact you directly as follows: –SCHEDULED CLINICS WITH APPOINTMENTS AVAILABLE will be sent by Howard County Health Department (from an email ending in @howardcountymd.gov) –APPOINTMENT CONFIRMATIONS / REMINDERS FOR THOSE WHO HAVE ALREADY SCHEDULED APPOINTMENTS will be sent by PrepMod (from no-reply@multistatep4p.com) If you received an email notification indicating a need to schedule a second dose appointment from no-reply@multistatep4p.com, please disregard it. If you have not yet scheduled your second dose, a member of our team will be in touch shortly. If you have already scheduled your second dose appointment, your appointment did not change. You may receive CONFIRMATION emails from PrepMod, but you will never receive notifications of upcoming clinics through the state PrepMod system. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work with our State partners to resolve these issues, and we look forward to seeing you in a clinic soon. Vaccine Available Doses The Health Department received 1,700 doses of vaccine this week as part of our monthly projected allotment. This allocation, which is less than our January average of about 3,000 per week, and our high of 4,500 in a week, represents the State’s continued transition from local health departments vaccinating their communities to regional State-run mass vax clinics, retail pharmacies, and hospital operating clinics. Everyone eligible for vaccine in Phase 1A, 1B, or 1C is encouraged to monitor the State Vaccine Website for other area clinics where the vaccine may be more immediately available: covidvax.maryland.gov. The Howard County Health Department also has opened vaccine interest surveys on our COVID-19 Vaccination page for all populations who want to receive vaccines. If you fall into any of these groups and have not yet completed a vaccine interest survey, please take a look below and complete the one for the group into which you (or a family member) fall. – Howard County Residents age 75 and older interested in receiving the vaccine: Click here to fill out our survey. – Howard County Residents ages 65-74 interested in receiving the vaccine: Click here to fill out our survey. – Howard County licensed childcare workers & non-public school educators and those in higher education interested in receiving the vaccine: Click here to fill out our survey. – Howard County healthcare providers who still have not received the vaccine but wish to do so should Click here to complete our survey. – Howard County adults with developmental disabilities (The intent of this group is to vaccinate persons with significant disabilities requiring support to live outside a congregant facility.) interested in receiving vaccines can complete our survey here. – All others in Phase 1C who are interested in receiving the vaccine: Click here to complete our survey. – Those individuals in Phase 2 and Phase 3 also have pre-registration questionnaires available so that the Health Department will have your information once we are able to move into these Phases. – Phase 2 Survey – Click HERE – Phase 3 Survey – Click HERE **Note: You WILL NOT receive an appointment after completing the survey. You will be emailed in the future with information about clinics as they become available based on vaccine availability** Please be patient, as we continue to have challenges with the lack of vaccine. Have a vaccine appointment with the Health Department and worried about the weather? If a vaccine clinic must be rescheduled due to weather, you will receive an email notification to the account used to make your appointment. This email will include information about when your appointment will be rescheduled. All appointments will be rescheduled in a timely manner. The Howard County Health Department receives its vaccine prioritization guidance from the Maryland Department of Health. Information about the State phased vaccine distribution plan is available here: https://covidlink.maryland.gov/content/vaccine/ CDC Mask Guidance Last week, the CDC updated its mask guidance. Make sure you’re wearing your mask properly to provide the best protection for yourself and those around you. Updated CDC Mask Guidance. – Make sure your mask fits snugly against your face. Gaps can let air with respiratory droplets leak in and out around the edges of the mask. Consider a mask with a nose wire, or add a mask fitter or brace. –Pick a mask with layers to keep your respiratory droplets in and others out. A mask with layers will stop more respiratory droplets from getting inside your mask or escaping from your mask if you are sick. Consider layering a cloth mask over a disposable mask. – Do not combine two disposable masks or layer atop a KN95 mask. Disposable masks are not designed to fit tightly and wearing more than one with not improve fit. Use only one KN95 mask at a time.
